Visiting Chai Nashta on a rainy morning wasn’t a very good idea. The place was very packed and we therefore had to wait for a short while for a table and slightly longer for the food. The staff were trying their very best to provide a good service to everyone.
Desi Nashta (£8.95)): Pictured is the Desi Nashta which comes with a range of different options to choose from. I ordered a masala omelette, masala chana (chickpeas), lamb keema and pooris (deep fried bread) with masala chaai (tea). The pooris were really soft and puffy and weren’t too oily. It went very well with the masala chana and keema. The masala chana and keema were full of authentic flavours. Overall I was quite content with the platter. The portions of masala chana and keema were quite large, at the end I was left with two bowls without any pooris. I still do think that £8.95 is a bit pricy for a full breakfast platter.
I didn’t order the masala chips but I still had a small bite of everything that others had ordered. The masala chips were equally good as well as the chicken wrap. I would definitely recommend getting the two as they go really well together.
